“No Time to Beet Around the Bush” / Theme: A Day in the Life
A little about this photo…
This is definitely a day in my life right now. This was the first real “harvest” of the summer (not counting the snap peas). And this is my first time growing beets, so I’m pretty happy with the result.

Good harvest! I haven’t harvested mine yet. I hope it rains soon. My garden is thirsty.

We just had a long hot spell without rain. Then it finally rained! Gave me a little break from watering. 🙂

My water pump wasn’t working so I watered as best I could from the well.

We had a hand water pump when I was about five years old. I remember how fun it was! Wish I had one here.

Well done. See what this covid is doing to us. Making us market gardeners. I’m also seeing lots of folks fishing from he banks of Breydon, young and old alike

Fun to know you’re a gardener too! Just harvested a few of my beets this week and pickled them.

Pickled beets are the best! This year, the garden has definitely expanded.

We also have zucchini… although not quite 24 (yet). What do you do with all your zucchini?
