“Photography, Old School” / Theme: Family Time
A little about this photo…
What fun to take a pic of an old camera with my “new” camera. (Not new, but a lot newer than the camera in this photo.) Anyhow, as we were cleaning out my grandparents’ house, we came across this old camera that belonged to my grandpa. Apparently, back in the day, he was pretty excited to tote this thing around and to capture family moments.
And a second shot:

That reminds me of my father’s camera which, aged 7, I was allowed to use for the first ever photo I took. A family group

I won my first plastic camera while in Florida at a bingo. I was 11 yrs old. I could choose between a huge airplane or a camera. It was a tough decision. I still have the photographs of animals at the zoo. I still own a polaroid and an Olympus.

My first camera was something I got from mailing in boxtops from Shredded Wheat (I think). I still had to pay something like $10-20 in addition to 4-5 boxtops. (I happen to like Shredded Wheat!) And it was MY camera! I was about 10 years old.
